Organic reach of Facebook posts is declining

Social media lives off authentic engagement between users. Naturally, this engagement attracted marketers and has been used to promote products and services in the past. Facebook Pages are an answer from the social media giant to channel this. Yet, with the growth of Facebook, the organic reach of posts has declined from 16% to around 6%. Organic reach describes the share of users you can reach with an update you have posted on your Facebook Page. The numbers below indicate the changes Facebook has implemented on its algorithm displaying posts to fans in their timeline. While this data is already a few years old, newer data indicates the trends continues.
